Raimundo Colombo, governador de Santa Catarina, e Eduardo Dechamps, secretário de Estado da Educação, entregaram 50 ônibus escolares para 47 municípios catarinenses em evento realizado nessa quinta-feira, dia 30 de outubro, em Florianpólis.

Com o valor total de R$ 7,5 milhões e investimento oriundo do PAR (Plano de Ações Articuladas), do Ministério da Educação, o Estado adquiriu esses veículos pelo Programa Caminho da Escola, do Governo Federal. “Este foi o primeiro lote entregue. Temos mais 50 ônibus para repassar aos municípios ainda este ano. Com isso, 90 municípios terão novos veículos e mais qualidade no transporte escolar em 2015. A parceria que temos com os municípios nesta área é fundamental para o bom andamento do trabalho educacional”, afirma Raimundo Colombo.

Segundo divulgado pela SED (Secretaria de Estado da Educação), o Governo de Santa Catarina investe cerca de R$ 100 milhões por ano em transporte escolar, atendendo mais de 135 mil alunos da rede pública estadual. Esse valor é repassado aos municípios que realizam o transporte. “A cada ano, estamos melhorando ainda mais o transporte escolar. Em 2013, o governo entregou 137 ônibus escolares para substituir os veículos antigos. Até o final do ano, entregaremos mais 100. Esperamos, no ano que vem [2015], conseguir novos veículos para totalizar a entrega em todos os municípios catarinenses”, explicou o secretário Eduardo Deschamps.

Para José Maria Rodrigues de Souza, coordenador geral de Apoio à Manutenção Escolar do Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento da Educação (FNDE), os veículos devem ser utilizados exclusivamente para o transporte de estudantes. “Esses ônibus devem levar os alunos de casa para escola e vice-versa ou para atividade previstas na política pedagógica da escola. A utilização indevida pode trazer problema ao município. Outra questão importante é o cuidado e manutenção, que deve estar em dia para evitar desgastes”, afirma.

A entrega dos veículos ocorreu em parceria com o Fórum Parlamentar Catarinense, que indicou os municípios a receberem os mesmos.
