Por volta das 01h00min da madrugada desta quarta-feira, dia 23 de setembro, a Polícia Militar de Itapoá foi acionada pela Central 190 para o atendimento da ocorrência de possível disparo de arma de fogo em um bar dançante da avenida Celso Ramos. Além da chamada pela Central telefônica, alguns populares compareceram na sede da PM, onde relataram ter presenciado o mesmo fato.

Com informações sobre as caraterísticas dos suspeitos, policiais militares abordou dois homens saindo do bar, mas nada de ilícito foi encontrado com eles. Ambos estavam alcoolizados e agressivos, sendo um deles com o nariz machucado, mas negaram o envolvimento em briga e disparos de arma de fogo. Tendo em vista que nada foi provado contra os dois, a Polícia os liberou.

Algumas pessoas que se encontravam no bar confirmaram a ocorrência dos disparos de arma de fogo para o alto, relatando que o autor dos disparos havia ido para a direção de um caminhão.

Com as características do veículo, ele foi abordado na Avenida (790) Ana Maria Rodrigues de Freitas. Em baixo do banco do motorista, a PM encontrou um revólver calibre 32 com seis munições intactas.

Diante dos fatos, o condutor do caminhão, um homem de 44 anos, foi encaminhado à Delegacia de Polícia Civil de Itapoá para a tomada dos procedimentos legais.
