O município de Itapoá inaugurou na tarde dessa quarta-feira, dia 03 de novembro, novas sedes de duas escolas municipais. Tratam-se da João Monteiro Cabral, no bairro Pontal, e Alberto Speck, na comunidade do Saí Mirim. Ambas receberam as suas novas sedes em evento que contou com a presença do senador Jorginho Mello, além de autoridades do Município.

A inauguração das escolas representou uma importante vitória para a comunidade e para Itapoá. Isso, principalmente porque o processo de construção das novas sedes passou por algumas dificuldades por conta de descumprimento de contrato por parte da empresa licitada inicialmente para as obras. Até que a construção fosse efetivada, foram necessários processos administrativos, audiências públicas, rescisões de contratos e novos processos licitatórios. “Tudo para garantir que as estruturas entregues à comunidade possuíssem qualidade e segurança”, divulgou a Prefeitura em nota.

A escola João Monteiro Cabral existe desde 1953 e conta, hoje, com 164 alunos matriculados. A nova sede da escola tem capacidade para até 420 estudantes. Já a escola Alberto Speck está instalada desde 1958. Ela possui 175 alunos matriculados e a nova estrutura tem capacidade para aproximadamente 240 estudantes.
