Por volta das 20h50min dessa sexta-feira, dia 06 de abril, o Corpo de Bombeiros de Itapoá foi acionado para a captura de um animal silvestre, que se encontrava em frente a um mercado localizado na Avenida Brasil, bairro Itapoá.

Chegando no local, os bombeiros perceberam que se tratava de uma capivara adulta de aproximadamente 50 quilos, que se encontrava embaixo de um banco nos fundos de uma casa de veraneio. O animal não apresentava ferimentos, mas se encontrava bastante assustado.

Os bombeiros utilizaram um cambão (também conhecido como pegador de cães) e um cobertor para dominar o animal. Assim que foi possível manusear a capivara com segurança, eles a imobilizaram e a transportaram para a sua soltura nas margens do rio Saí Mirim, seu habitat natural, onde o animal silvestre ficou em segurança.
